Gary Shaw, Owner
Gary is a very “hands on” business owner, staying involved in all aspects of Chatfield Lumber Co., Inc., which include accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and collection. He sets up new accounts, purchases material, and does pricing. He supervises the operation and maintenance of the company‘s vehicles. He is our chief banking officer and is in charge of payroll and reports. He sets policies and hires and manages personnel. He can give you an estimate on your new house, addition, or pole shed and you will often find him at the front counter greeting and serving customers.

Andy Danninger

Andy is the office manager for Chatfield Lumber Co., Inc., overseeing the smooth operation of the business day. He is one of our estimators and salesman. He orders materials and helps customers at the counter and on the phone.

Jerry Spelhaug
Jerry tracks the lumber market for Chatfield Lumber Co., Inc. He is our lumber and panel buyer, a job estimator, salesman, and trainer. Jerry uses his problem solving skills in many areas of the company. He is particularly good at helping customers and contractors with building problems. Jerry is a self-proclaimed “Lumberyard Designer Extraordinaire”. Come see us and check out his handywork!

George Ryg 
George is one of the first people you will meet at Chatfield Lumber Co., Inc. You’ll find him waiting on customers at the front counter or answering the phone and directing calls. He’s the one who calls customers when their special order items arrive. George schedules appointments for servicing and inspecting company vehicles. He lists out daily deliveries, working closely with our dispatcher. He checks in the Andersen Windows deliveries, marking the job names on the appropriate cartons. George orders all tools, except Paslode, plus a wide range of building supply products. He enters price changes into the computer, verifying invoices and prices, adjusting them as necessary. He enters estimates into the system and does yearly inventory. George keys most of the locks we sell. He often meets with salesmen and then shares new product information with the rest of the sales staff.

Jim Franke aka “Buck”
 Jim is Chatfield Lumber’s yard foreman. He dispatches outgoing deliveries and manages the driver’s schedules. He is in charge of yard maintenance and security. He also orders parts for Paslode tools and does Paslode repairs.

Rich Maki
Rich spends a majority of his time estimating Pole Buildings and assisting customers that come in our office. Rich orders and estimates most materials for our customers. He has recently been working on our computer systems and updating programs and files for the office staff. Rich is Chatfield Lumber’s Andersen Windows representative. Dave Frank

Dave is the first person you will probably see when you come in our front door. Dave first started working for Chatfield Lumber Co. in July of 2000. Over the years he has moved from delivery driver to office staff. Dave currently takes care of our showroom, sets up displays, organizes events, does the occasional deliveries and helps out with shipping and receiving. If you are looking for an estimate, Dave can estimate decks, garages, small project and has become one of the main cabinet and kitchen designers.

   Jim, Ben, Chris and Tom
These hardworking men unload incoming freight, maintain the yard, and arrange inventory. They load the big red trucks, provide free delivery to our customers, and they can take your returns.

Accounting Department Marilyn Snell – Tinman
 Tinman, and Marilyn
Marilyn is in charge of the accounting department, doing accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as payroll, banking, and tax reports.
Tinman supervises the accounting office and that is a full time job!
